Philip Keyes, 64 of Acton, died weeks following the crash.
Keyes was riding his motorcycle along Great Road when he crashed into an 82-year-old Chelmsford woman in a Subaru driving in the opposite direction around noon, authorities said. Responded airlifted Keyes tto Boston Medical Center where he died of his wounds on Nov. 16. The Subaru driver remained on the scene and cooperated with police, the prosecutor's office said.
Keyes, a Stanford University and University of Chicago graduate, was a beloved member of the biking community across the country. He lead the New England Mountain Bike Association for 26 years and was a member of the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame, according to his obituary.
He is survived by his partner Gloria, two adult children, his father, and several siblings.
